A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT MANAGER
• Manages the Technical Support and Operating Systems Specialist who works first-hand with 3rd party partners to maintain adequate IT solutions, hardware and software, as well as devices. Approves all hardware and software purchases.
• Documents clear and measurable business process and system requirements and understands trade-off recommendations between implementation timeline and functionality maturity.
• Recommends prioritization and/or prioritizes development tasks by data-driven decisions.
• Creates detailed process/system specifications using written requirements, business rules, process flows and use cases; incorporates user experience-generated deliverables.
• Executes project and operational initiatives by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams/internal divisions to build, release, and monitor company systems and processes, leading agile development, and managing day-to-day details to influence and inform the strategy and roadmap evolution.
• Ensures day-to-day decisions are effectively made and execution is optimized to drive toward the realization of these capabilities.
• Provides input on product and roadmap definitions. Contributes to strategic capability growth in appropriate or needed areas.
• Understands and internalizes overall division strategy to help inform requirements and feature/functionality prioritization.
• Understands overall business operations strategic priorities and participates with leadership and managers to identify solutions.
• Assist in designing scalable solutions for software development, deployment, and supervision.
• Establishes and safeguards partnership and alignment across various groups and departments in support of normal operations, strategic initiatives, projects, and transformation.
• Works across the entire organization with optimized and aligned processes, practices, policies, tools, technologies, and culture.
• Participates with Technical Support and Operating Systems Specialists to define areas impacted by the implementation of new processes and systems.
• Contributes to building transformation capability across the organization including embedding skills, changing mindsets, and enhancing culture to continuously improve and innovate.
• Establishes and sustains customer experience top-of-mind for leadership and transformation teams, balancing transformation needs with operations needs in ways that positively affect customers and the company brand.
• Create and oversee reporting.
• Oversee 3rd party systems
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Finance, Engineering or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience creating systems and using data to drive business decisions
• Strong familiarity and experience with a business intelligence language (R preferred)
• Knowledge of languages for auxiliary BI functions (e.g. SQL, Python, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of API architecture (e.g., REST) and ability to implement API-powered solutions
• Familiarity with Docker and best practices for deploying scalable, shareable applications
• Advanced ability to perform exploratory data analysis
• Ability to communicate complex data in a simple and actionable way
• Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or outcome
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity to delve into data anomalies to ensure quality
• Ability to learn and retain quickly
• Attention to details
• Ability to pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license

Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4:30pm
